What is the difference between a bay window and a bow window?
The "bay" window normally appears a 3 window sections that project beyond the house's exterior wall in 4 possible configurations: 30, 45, 60, and 90 degrees. The first three are commonly referred to as "angle bay" windows. The fourth is called a "box bay."
The bow window also projects beyond the exterior wall, but it consists of multiple window sections that form an arc.
